Marcus Slease was born in Portadown, N. Ireland in 1974. He is the author of Godzenie (Blazevox Books) and This is the Motherfucking Remix (Scantily Clad Press). As a member of The Lucifer Poetics Group, he has participated in reading tours in North Carolina, Washington DC, Brooklyn, Ithaca, Atlanta and Philadelphia. He has also performed his work at the La Langoustine Est Morte reading series and the Openned Reading series in London. In March 2009, he co-edited a special issue of Past Simple on innovative British and Irish poetry (www.pastsimple.org).
